Inn the Garden
Located in the heart of historic JuliaAnn Square, our Inn is a recently refurbished and restored Queen Anne Victorian built in the 1860's and added on to just after the turn of the century. In the era of the gas and oil boom along the Ohio River, the neighborhood was home to wealthy community leaders, businessmen, and lawmakers. Every effort was made to preserve the original architectural features while updating the house with all of today's ammenities.
Furnished with an ecclectic mix of Victorian and primitive American antiques, the Inn's rooms are cozy, spacious and welcoming. Victorian Queen size beds, hand made vintage quilts, cottage fabrics and Victorian lace create a charming and comfortable decor. Our full breakfasts are unsurpassed, so bring your appetite! We welcome visitor's to our home, and we love company!
Summer evenings can be spent relaxing on our expansive front porch, enjoying the outdoor patio and cottage gardens, or taking in our local sites. We are located an easy walk to downtown Parkersburg, with local fine dining, seasonal carriage rides, and often local festivals. Just 12 miles north, and also on the Ohio river, Marietta with its quaint shops and rich local history offers an evening's or day's entertainment.
We can accomodate the business traveler on short or extended stays, with one or two bedroom accomodations, wireless internet, and spacious private living quarters. Ask about our special corporate rates.
