Chestnut Ridge Country Inn
Chestnut Ridge Country Inn is a 1890 renovated farmhouse, offering 4 guestrooms. Each guestroom offers a queen size bed, private bath and sitting area.

We welcome families with children, couples, motorcycles in groups or individually.

The Peters Ridge guestroom offers a private fireplace for those who like to coziness of a fire in your own privacy.

The Snow Ridge guestroom offers a oversized bath with a double shower.

The Chestnut Ridge guestroom is a 2 room family suite, offering a queen size bed in one room and a double and twin beds in the second room. The bath offers a clawfoot tub with a shower option.

The Griffin Ridge guestroom offers views in 3 directions and an additional day bed/trundle bed that can accommodate up to 4 guests.

All of our guestrooms offers a stunning view of the mountain valley and the Monongahela National Forest.

Our Common Room features seating for groups around the original stone fireplace, centered in the room and providing warmth on the coolest evenings.

Or you can gather around the outdoor firepit for easy conversation, clearest nights for stargazing and cool evening weather and a warm fire.

We have several areas to relax in, including 3 porches or an oversized deck. Our 3 acres of flat grassy area is an invitation to admire the distant Allegheny Mountain range.

Come and bring your bikes for a ride on the Greenbrier River Trail, or leave them at home and we can arrange for bikes here to ride. We can also help with getting on and off the trail by transporting your car to your end destination.

While youre with us, you can also ride the Cass Railroad train, an old steam locomotive that used to bring logs off the mountain, but now offers visitors a rare view of the long past logging days as well as spectacular views from the top of the mountain.

In between bike trips on the Trail or rides on the Train, visit the National Radio Astronomy Telescope, where they listen to outer space through 11 telescopes, one being the largest moveable telescope in the world.

Snowshoe Ski Resort, 15 miles form our B & B, offers great skiing in the winter and varied activities in the summer, including the Chili Cookoff, Freedomfest bike week and mountain bike trails.

Speaking of Freedomfest, Pocahontas county offers some of the most enjoyable motorcycle trips on the east coast. We have maps showing typical trips, from 60 miles to almost 200 mile day trips. Or just get a map and enjoy exploring the many mountain roads here.
